SPO’s advocates for improved and sustainable Climate Change Adaptation
Strengthening Participatory Organization (SPO) facilitated meetings between community representatives, journalists and educationists with the Zonal Municipal Inspector, WSSP Peshawar to address identified issues and develop action plans related to site selection for dumping points, waste collection, community awareness and community ownership for sustainable and improved climate change. Additional meetings were facilitated by SPO’s Peshawar team with the Directorate of Youth Affairs, Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), Public Health Engineering Department (PHED), and District Forest Department for improved initiatives in Climate Change, Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR), Food Securities, water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), and Climate advocacy, actions and resilience.
