Donor: Oxfam

Project Duration: January 2023 – June 2024

Provinces: Sindh and Balochistan

Project Coverage: Mirpurkhas and Sanghar (Sindh); Jaffarabad and Sohbatpur (Balochistan)

SPO successfully implemented the Flood Recovery and Response – A Community-Wide Approach project in partnership with Oxfam from January 2023 to June 2024 across flood-affected districts of Sindh and Balochistan.

The project aimed to support post-flood recovery by restoring essential services, rebuilding livelihoods, and strengthening the resilience of vulnerable communities affected by the 2022 floods.

Through this initiative, SPO implemented interventions in Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Food and Economic Security (FES), livelihood restoration, and protection services. The project supported rehabilitation of community infrastructure, restoration of household incomes, and delivery of protection assistance to vulnerable families, contributing to improved resilience against future disasters.
