SPO implemented the Strengthening Local Civil Society and Community-based Organizations in the Nutrition Sector in Sindh project with financial support from the International Rescue Committee (IRC) – European Union (EU) from 1 August 2023 to 30 June 2025. The project aimed to strengthen local civil society organizations and improve nutrition services for women and children by enhancing community-based nutrition systems and advocacy efforts.

Under the project, SPO strengthened the capacity of civil society organizations, improved nutrition service delivery, supported community-based malnutrition screening and referral systems, promoted nutrition policy advocacy, and built the capacity of health workers and public health facilities. The initiative contributed to improved maternal and child nutrition outcomes in underserved districts of Sindh.
