A well marked rain system (low pressure) is prevailing on northwestern parts of Balochistan and moderate monsoon currents are penetrating into central and upper parts of the country. PMD issued no severe weather event warning for next 24 hours however scattered rain thunder shower in various parts of central Punjab, upper KP and northwest Balochistan.

Death toll has jumped to 58 that feared increase further and 30 persons are reported severely injured in rain related incidents. 81341 people have been directly affected and displaced in Punjab, KP and Sindh while the figures of Balochistan are awaited.

NDMA and PDMAs have launched relief activities and extended tents, food packs, mosquito nets and blankets to the affected families. Total 15330 tents, 3995 food packs and 13000 mosquito nets have been distributed among affected families.

SPO has also started relief activities and allocated 1.2 million rupees for the provision of food packs to 500 families in Rajanpur, Naseerabad and Karachi/Thatha. Rapid damage and need assessment reports are in the process and would be available within a couple of days on the website.
