I am honoured to be elected as Chairperson of the Strengthening Participatory Organization (SPO) and sincerely thank the Board for its trust and confidence.
Across Pakistan, SPO works with women, children, and communities who have immense potential. Through respectful partnership and inclusive, people-centred development, this potential can be transformed into dignity, security, and opportunity.
SPO operates as both a development and humanitarian organization, responding to community needs through direct implementation while also strengthening civil society institutions. As the organization has evolved, it has built a strong management and intermediary role, bridging funders and civil society organizations by supporting institutional development, transparent financial management, and accountable program delivery.
For over three decades, SPO has remained committed to empowering grassroots marginalized communities and strengthening public institutions to help build a more just and equitable Pakistan. I look forward to working closely with the Board, management, partners, and communities to carry this mission forward with integrity, purpose, and meaningful impact.
