Ms. Arifa Mazhar

Ms. Arifa Mazhar has overall eighteen years of multi-sectoral experience in a rights-based development and policy advocacy with a specific focus on gender and women’s rights.

Ms. Arifa Mazhar is presently associated with the Group Development Pakistan as the Director Programmes. In voluntary capacity, she is the Co-Chairperson EVAWG Alliance, Member Board of Directors of SPO, Member Board of Governors of Economic Justice and Development, Member Board National Peasant Coalition of Pakistan.

Ms. Arifa Mazhar has been associated with Aurat Foundation as head of the UN Women funded project “Engendering peace and security. At the Sungi Development Foundation she held two managerial portfolios a) Gender Mainstreaming & b) Human Resource Management. She was also associated with Potohar Organization for Development and Advocacy (PODA) as its Executive Director.

Ms. Mazhar at various stages has also remained active members of the following networks: WTO watch Group, Sustainable Agriculture Action Group (SAAG), Joint Action Committee, Coalition of Rawalpindi & Islamabad NGOs (CORIN) Mubariza (National Network for Gender Justice).
