October 26, 2016Ms. Parveen Akhtar is advocate by profession and is practicing for the past 27 years in the High Court and subordinate Courts and Federal Shariat Court.
Ms. Parveen has been working with the free legal aid committee in the provincial council of KPK. She is also an active Member of the Provincial Bar Council for last 16 years.
Ms. Parveen is the Member Board of Directors of SPO (Strengthening Participatory Organization) a leading Pakistani rights-based civil society organization having countrywide presence outreach and support from 3500 partner entities dealing with matters related to human rights, democracy and good governance, justice, peace and harmony, and strengthening of public institutions; both, at policy as well as implementation levels. She is also associated with the Social Development Enterprise as the Member Board of Directors.
In addition, Ms. Parveen has been associated with the Cantonment Board Peshawar as the Member and the Vice President for more than ten years. She has also served as the General Secretary of Peshawar Bar Association.
