Saleem Malik

Saleem Malik is a passionate advocate of human rights and a social activist who has been defending the rights of the weakest segments of society including women, children, disabled and the poorest for the last three decades from multiple personal, organizational and collective platforms. He is well known to the human rights sector in Pakistan and has been part many successful advocacy campaigns for the improvement of policy and legislative framework of our country. Saleem was head of Bedari, a women rights NGO for eight years. He has worked on senior management positions with Plan International, Group Development, ActionAid International and International Water Management Institute. In consulting capacity, Saleem has assisted dozens of local and international organizations, UN agencies and donors in the areas of situation analysis, capacity building, program design, strategic planning and evaluation.

Saleem has two university degrees – M.Sc. in Development and Project Planning from University of Bradford, England, 1996 and M.Sc. in Statistics from University of Punjab, Lahore, 1987.
