Sister Naseem George has overall forty two years of experience in the development sector with special focus on gender and women’s rights.
Ms. George is presently associated as the Director, Ezaz-e-Niswan Development Organization. In voluntary capacity she is associated as the Member United Religions Initiative and Peace Prayer Society (International), Women and Development Group, Asian Partnership for Human Development, Women Action Forum, Pakistan, Human Rights Commission of Pakistan, Amnesty International – Pakistan, Justice and Peace Commission Pakistan, National Commission for Justice and Peace, Theology in Context, working group – Pakistan, Committee for Asian Women Workers, Women in Reflection and Action, Asian Committee for people’s Organization, Asian Women’s Resource Centre for Culture and Theology, NGOs Network Forum (Pakistan), Member Board of Directors of SPO and Chairperson, CPHD Board of Directors.
Previously, Sister George was associated as the President of the Major Superior’s Leadership Conference, Regional Superior of the Dominican Sisters of Our Lady of the Rosary, Chairperson of the Justice and Peace Commission, Coordinator of NGOs Networking in South Punjab, Women Development Ministry, Justice and Peace Co-promoter for Dominican Family in Asia Pacific, Chief Organizer of Social Awareness for Community Transformation Training Program, Treasurer for Justice and Peace Commission, Human Rights Activist Community Organizer in Loreto Layyah, Assistant Supervisor for Youth Work Adult Literacy and Child Care Centers- Bahawalpur, Teacher in High School Loreto and Middle School, Shorkot.
Sister George is the author of numerous publications in the field of women rights and development. She has been awarded with Madr-e-Millat Award for Human Rights by NGOs Multan, Tamgha-e-Imtiaz in the field of Human Rights by Govt. of Pakistan and the Peace Award in memory of Bishop Dr. John Joseph by Christian League of Pakistan (USA).
