SPO received an Award for Partnership with Sindh Agriculture University
Strengthening Participatory Organization (SPO) received an award for joining hands with Sindh Agriculture University (SAU) during the 1st International Conference on Biodiversity of Arid Zone at SAU Campus Umerkot, Sindh. The post-conference event organized by SAU was attended by various stakeholders, including academics, researchers, and policymakers from different government and non-government organizations.
The collaboration between SPO and Sindh Agriculture University Umerkot not only contributed to building the capacity of students and youth but also helped in addressing critical issues related to climate change and gender. The establishment of a seed bank and kitchen garden are imperative milestones toward sustainable approaches for rural women in Sindh. The collaboration between SPO and SAU is a success and demonstrates the importance of partnerships in addressing various challenges. Mr. Shewa Ram, Program Manager Umerkot is receiving the award from Mr. Fateh Muhammad Mari, Vice Chancellor of Sindh Agriculture University.
