Five days capacity building workshop was conducted by SPO
The Strengthening Participatory Organization (SPO) had organized five days capacity building workshop under the aegis of Umeed-e-Jawan from 11th to 15th November 2014.
The training and resource Centre aimed to equip the participants and acted as a catalyst for building capacity of partner organizations for developing project proposals in following four themes:
- Education and Leadership
- Recreation and Benign Activities
- Vocational and Employment
- Community Engagement
The intervention successfully trained participants of twelve different organizations who came from following cities:
- Lahore
- Multan
- Muzafargarh
- Lodhran
- Bhawalpur
The training has ensued the participants with the enhanced understanding on different concepts relating to proposal writing and at the end developed draft proposals following the fundamental guidelines of the grant proposal.
The knowledge gained from the training was effectively utilized by the participants and they identified and narrated the problem statements by analyzing the specific situation on which they further developed the project. They also formulated the project goals and objectives along with Output, Outcome and Impact. In addition, the participants thoroughly worked on the work plan and developed the budget according to the activities.
By virtue of these sessions the participants learned different policies and incorporated the procedures that were missing in their own practices.
