Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued warning that River Indus at Chasma and Kala Bagh and River Kabul may attain Medium to High Flood level in next 24 hours. Today highest rainfall 153mm was recorded at Jacbobad. For next 24 hours rain-thundershower is expected at isolated places in Upper Sindh (Sukkur, Larkana divisions), Lower Sindh ( Karachi, Hyderabad divisions), South Punjab, KP, Balochistan, Kashmir, Islamabad, Northeast Punjab (Rawalpindi, Lahore, Gujranwala divisions).
According to the media reports so far 45 causalities have been reported from various parts of the country. Karachi, Hyderabad, Rajanpur, Peshawar, Chitral and Charsadda Loralai, Sibi and Naseerabad districts are among worst hit areas.
The deputy commissioner of Rajanpur has declared emergency in the district and a population of 200 thousands feared affected. In Karachi, Malir is worst hit area where almost 3000 thousands belonging to various villages, have been shifted in relief camps where they need shelter, food, medicines and clean drinking water immediately.
