As a recent historical landmark ruling in Sindh, it was hopeful that the Sindh Water Management (Amendment) Act 2018 will finally make it possible for female farmers to participate in water management. However, despite its passage 6 months ago, the rules of business have yet to be approved by the Sindh Irrigation and Drainage Authority (SIDA).
